Printing and cash drawer

Network receipt printer, printing from the browser, print queue, drawer.

Setting up the printer (manager)

Receipts and printing:

  • Printer IP address and port (usually 9100): an ESC/POS-compatible network receipt printer. Leave it empty to print from the browser.
  • Paper width: 80 mm or 58 mm.
  • Print automatically after each sale, Open the cash drawer on a cash payment.
  • Receipt header: name, address, phone, ICE, IF, message at the bottom of the receipt.
  • Print a test page to check.

Receipts in Arabic

The receipt printer prints the receipt in French. For a receipt in Arabic, switch the till to Arabic and use Print from the browser.

Waiting to print

If the printer does not respond, the receipt waits in Waiting to print and comes out as soon as it responds. The sale is recorded whatever happens. A receipt “interrupted while printing” is never sent again automatically: check whether it came out before tapping Try again.

The drawer

The drawer opens with the original receipt of a cash sale (if set up). A cashier can also open it right after a cash sale; at any other time, only a manager can.

Customer display

The customer sees their basket, the total to pay and the change given; when idle, the time, your featured products and your payment methods. They never see a customer's name or credit.

  • Second screen plugged into the till: Receipts and printing › Customer display › Open customer display, move the window to the customer's screen and press F11.
  • Tablet on Wi-Fi (manager): turn on Customer display on a tablet, tap Pair a tablet, then on the tablet scan the QR code (or open the address shown) and enter the code. Check that the number shown on the tablet is the same and tap Confirm. Unpair removes a tablet. The tablet and the till must be on the same password-protected Wi-Fi.
