Offline and sync

What each state of the badge means, what works without internet, licence.

The till works without internet

Every sale is saved on this till first, in an encrypted database, then sent to the LePOS server. Without internet, you keep selling, taking payment, giving change, doing returns and closing the till.

The badge at the top of the screen

  • Synced: everything sold on this till has reached the server.
  • N to send: sales are being sent right now; nothing to do.
  • Offline · N waiting: no connection. Sales stay on the till and sending is retried automatically (every few seconds up to every 5 minutes), with nothing lost.
  • Server busy · N waiting: the server is asking to wait; sending resumes on its own.
  • Till refused by the server · N waiting: internet works, but the server no longer recognises this till (for example, the till was revoked). Sales stay saved here: contact LePOS support.
  • Check storage: the check of the till's database failed: contact support before doing anything else.

Tap the badge to see the sales waiting, the oldest one and the last successful send, and Sync now.

The licence

The till must reach LePOS at least once every 3 days. A banner warns you after 24 h and then 48 h without a connection; after 72 h, new sales are blocked until it reconnects (viewing, reports, exports, returns and backups carry on). Tap Try connecting again once internet is back.

A suspended or cancelled subscription also blocks new sales, without ever deleting your data. A late payment lets the till keep working during the grace period.

Online catalogue

Prices changed on the online dashboard reach the till at the next sync (usually under 5 minutes).

Till status

Till status (manager) sums up versions, storage, last backup, sync, printer and clock. If the computer's time is wrong, correct it: receipt dates depend on it.
