Suppliers

Add your suppliers in Suppliers.

Purchase order

Purchasing › New purchase order: supplier, products, quantities, expected cost. The order goes from draft to sent (“Mark as sent”), then partly received, received, and finally closed or cancelled.

Central order

The owner can order for several shops from the owner's area (Purchasing). Your shop's share arrives by itself in Purchasing, already sent, marked Central order BCC-…; only one till in the shop receives it. Receive it like an ordinary order: the owner sees the progress after the sync. Whatever will not come is closed on the till, with a reason.

Receiving

Receive: enter what actually arrived (quantity, actual cost, batch no. if the product is tracked by batch). Receiving more than ordered needs a reason. Stock is updated and the product's average cost recalculated.

Supplier invoice

Enter an invoice: reference, date, amounts, deliveries concerned. If the invoice does not match the deliveries, the difference is flagged, never corrected automatically.

Paying the supplier

Pay supplier: a cash payment comes out of the drawer (an open till is needed, and it is counted at close); a bank transfer or a cheque needs its reference. The payment settles the chosen invoice first, then the oldest ones.

Returning goods to the supplier

Supplier return: takes the stock out and creates a credit note that reduces what you owe. The supplier's statement shows invoices, payments, returns and balance due.
